use:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-object-object-font-size has-border-color has-has-red-border-color-border-color   mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph--ae080d7ecb6835907ebb9d41a1a2fc28\">To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of ZERBAXA\u00ae and other antibacterial drugs, ZERBAXA\u00ae should be used only to treat infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria.<br><br>Geriatrics (\u226565 years of age): A higher incidence of adverse reactions was observed in patients aged 65 years and older.<br><br>Pediatrics (&lt;18 years of age): The safety and efficacy of ZERBAXA\u00ae in patients below 18 years of age have not been established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-object-object-font-size has-border-color has-has-red-border-color-border-color   mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph--a04c46deae31d668edb8d75e90b2c884\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Contraindications:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"mhh-mcn-v2-clist mhh-mcn-v2-clist--c5f9bfdd757d8ff055db9ab911df0aa3 mhh-mcn-list mhh-mcn-v2-clist--unordered mhh-mcn-v2-clist--unordered-dot\" dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en-US\">\n    \n<li class=\"mhh-mcn-list-item mhh-mcn-v2-list-item\">\n    Patients with known serious hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins or other beta-lactams.    <\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-object-object-font-size has-border-color has-has-red-border-color-border-color   mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph--0db9c0f5e70a6cfd64d1902b23b10228\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Most serious warnings and precautions:<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-object-object-font-size has-border-color has-has-red-border-color-border-color   mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph--570567fff92c0ca56ebf949b1963522d\"><strong>Beta-lactam antibacterial hypersensitivity:<\/strong> Serious and occasionally fatal hypersensitivity (anaphylactic) reactions have been reported in patients receiving beta-lactam antibacterials. Before therapy is instituted, careful inquiry about previous hypersensitivity reactions to other cephalosporins, penicillins or beta-lactams should be made. If this product is to be given to a patient with a cephalosporin, penicillin or other beta-lactam allergy, caution should be exercised because cross-sensitivity has been established. If an anaphylactic reaction occurs, the drug should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-object-object-font-size has-border-color has-has-red-border-color-border-color   mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph mhh-mcn-v1-paragraph--55c6f42c1d45584534a940fa8432f8ae\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><strong>Other relevant warnings and precautions:<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"mhh-mcn-v2-clist mhh-mcn-v2-clist--3bbeb71f221a90321df96cf26a9c45b6 mhh-mcn-list mhh-mcn-v2-clist--unordered mhh-mcn-v2-clist--unordered-dot\" dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en-US\">\n    \n<li class=\"mhh-mcn-list-item mhh-mcn-v2-list-item\">\n    If <em>Clostridium difficile<\/em>-associated disease is suspected or confirmed, ongoing antibiotic use not directed against <em>C. difficile<\/em> may need to be discontinued.    <\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"mhh-mcn-list-item mhh-mcn-v2-list-item\">\n    Severe cutaneous adverse reactions (SCAR) such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) have been reported in association with beta-lactam treatment. When SCAR is suspected, ZERBAXA\u00ae should be discontinued and appropriate therapy and\/or measures taken.    <\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"mhh-mcn-list-item mhh-mcn-v2-list-item\">\n    Prescribing ZERBAXA\u00ae in the absence of a proven or strongly suspected bacterial infection is unlikely to provide benefit to the patient and risks the development of drug-resistant bacteria.    <\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"mhh-mcn-list-item mhh-mcn-v2-list-item\">\n    Use in pregnant women only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.    <\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"mhh-mcn-list-item mhh-mcn-v2-list-item\">\n    Should not be administered to a nursing woman unless the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the infant.    <\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"mhh-mcn-list-item mhh-mcn-v2-list-item\">\n    In patients with renal impairment, dosage adjustment is required.    <\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color
